Summer Fun Having A Blast!!!

This summer has been so busy and we have had a lot of Fun!! We started off with a trip out west to Snowmass Colorado, then to our favorite place Lake Powell!! Of course there was visiting family and friends and going to baseball games, the Price Museum and movies all in between. I love spending time with my family and especially my little grandbabies! I love watching their joy and excitment in everything they do. So sit back and enjoy some of the pictures of what we have been up to.

Matt recieved the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Scholarship award in Snowmass Colorado. He was the only recipient from the state of Utah!! We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments!! He gave a very nice acceptance speech at a luncheon held in his and the other recipient's honor. The luncheon was a little long and Corban (aka Jonas) fell asleep but Jayce was wide awake!! Matt stands next to Gary Takenaka whom he works with as well as Dr. McCarter one of the University of Utah Professors and his Dad who is very proud of Matt!!! Grandma Pat and Grandpa Bob was with us to see Matt receive his award.

Dancin in the Rockies

Heather and her Daddy, Matt and his Grammy do a little dancin' at the Family picnic. Nothing like a little fresh mountain air to get the toes a tappin!!!

Cowboys love dirt!

Corban had so much fun at the Family Picnic!! He enjoyed roping the metal bull, riding the mechanical bull and leading his Dad around the arena blindfolded!! He is so fun to watch and he plays so hard!

Splish, Splashin

Fun in the SUN!! We love, love, love to swim, boat and dive!! I think all the kids were fish in their previous lives!!

Indian Ruins

It wouldn't be a Lake Powell trip if we didn't go see the Indian ruins. It was a little hike to get there but well worth it!! Lake Powell is such a beautiful place!!

Diggin Dinosaurs!!

We took Corban, Jayce, Delaney & Brock to the Price Museum. Jayce was so excited to start digging for dinosaur bones that he didn't wait for a tool he just started to eat the sand to get to the bones!! Corban was attacked by a T-Rex (he was able to escape thanks heavens!!). He sat in a teepee with Brock and Laney and he even put the animal skin on to scare his Mom!!

Movie Night

We had movie night in Uncle Rodger's backyard. We all enjoyed the movie Brother Bear!! This is one of Corban's favorite movies of course because of it being about bears!!! Shelly made some really good chocolate chip cookies, Uncle Rodger made homemade rootbeer, there was popcorn and Jamie even shared some of her "homemade" cookies (Shelly's were much better)!! Best of all we were with lots of family. I think there were around 30 people!! FuN, fUn, FUN!!
