Corban wrestles with his bear rug. I wonder who will survive??!

The Bear got the best of Corban this time! Poor kid...........he's really dead.........just look at the tongue!!

Fun Day!

On Friday Heather and I took the boys out for a day of play at "The PlayLand Place". There was so much for the boys to do and stay busy. We stayed there for hours watching Corban play with all different kinds of toys and doing art projects. The boys met their little friends Matthew and Heath there. The place was set up with an art room, a music room, a kitchen area, big building blocks area, a puppet show area, there were little cars to drive and a small tree house to play with, bugs, jump ropes...........there was just so much to do and Corban tried to do it all! There was a place for Jayce to play as well with little soft toys and soft carpet areas just in case he toppled over. It was so clean and they had a "icky bucket" for the toys to be cleaned so you don't pass any "ickies" around. We went to lunch after and then we did a little shopping and both boys fell asleep!! Too much FUN!! When I dropped Heather and the boys off Corban put his arms around my neck and said "Ramma, I am so proud of you!!! You were such a good girl today and I love you so much!!" I am so lucky that I live so close to Corban and Jayce and get to have play dates with them!! Thanks Heather for letting me play with you guys!! I love my little guys sooooo much!!!

Having FUN with Corban!

Corban's Rainbow
Corban is very proud of his art project!

Corban's fruit loop rainbow

So, Heather and Garrett went to get their taxes done and Corban got to spend the evening with me! We had so much fun, we made a Fruitloop rainbow with lots of animal stickers. He writes his name very well, especially since he is only 3 years old!! He was so proud of his art project and he is looking forward our next one! I love spending time with him we have so much fun and the best part is I get lots of hugs and kisses!!! While making the project we talked about all the different animals that Noah had on the "boat" we even sang the "Unicorn" song and Corban was sad that the Unicorn missed the boat. He said he will find a Unicorn the next time me and him go to the magic forest and he will keep him in his room so the Unicorn won't be sad! He is such a loving little guy!!!

RaNae & Me

In February while I was out for Laurie's surprise birthday party I got to go visit with one of my very favorite friends. We have been friends for about 29 years (oh my gosh has it really been that long?!) We had so much fun giggling and I finally got to meet two of her little granddaughters (they are so cute and smart). We've been able to keep in touch all this time and we've even got to see each other at the airport, her leaving and me coming into town. Its been fun catching up with her on her blog and seeing her family once again. It's so great to have long time friends!! Can't wait to see you again!!! P.S. RaNae is the one who taught me how to make chocolate chip pancakes...........yum!!!

Lost Friend Found

I found the "bird".............well actually the "bird" found me!! One of my friends from a long, long, long time ago found me through Shani's blog (thanks Shani for giving her my blog address) and today we talked to each other for the first time in about 20 years!! It was like we never skipped a beat!! Robbin and I have been friends since elementry school and lost contact after a few years after graduation but she has not changed a bit!! We talked for about 1 1/2 hours and the time flew by. It was so fun to laugh at memories and the stupid things we used to do. She is the mother to 3 beautiful children and 1 "little nugget" grandaughter. I used to stay at her house and her parents were always so wonderful to me. I remember riding the bus home with her and I thought that was so neat because I never got to ride a bus home from school (until I moved to Wellington my Sr. year then it wasn't as fun)! Anyway, it was fun remembering and so great to talk to her and maybe we can get together if we are ever in Price at the same time. Don't be mad Robbin at me because of the pictures I posted but I thought that you would get a kick out of them!! Thanks for the phone call and I promise we will keep in touch!!!

Congratulations Matt

It has been an awesome week for Matt and one that he will never forget!! Last night Bart and I got a call from him and he told us that he received the RMCMI Scholarship!!! This scholarship is given to only one engineering student from each state and is very hard to get. We are so proud of Matt and all of his accomplishments and hard work!! He makes being a parent very easy!! Congratulations Matt!! We love you lots!! Now, quite goofing off and get back to studying!!!

Matt & Sam tour Utah

Since our new daughter-in-law to be hasn't been to Utah before Matt has been taking her every where to see the sights!! They just got back from Price and while there they went to Moab. She says she loved it that it was so pretty. They went to Helper and saw "Big John", crossed the swinging bridge (well Sam didn't make it across she was a little scared) and then went to the Helper Museum and saw the mining exhibit. Last night they went to the Salt Lake Temple and today they are going to Antelope Island and the Gravity Hill. Poor girl is going to be pooped out by the time she comes home!!
She was so excited to see a "tumble weed", she made Matt pull over so she could get a better look! She is so funny!
I guess I should tell you a little about her. She lives here in Pennsylvania and is going to school at West Virginia University. Her and Matt met while they were both interning for Consol over the summer. They are both Engineering students and plan on getting married when they graduate from school (which will be next summer)!
Corban is upset because Sam is really his girlfrind and now that Matt has asked her to marry him that kind of put a wrench into his relationship with her. He cried and told Heather he wishes he was big so he could marry Sam!! He is so funny!!

Carved in stone! Sam & Matt

Matt's engaged!!

Matt's engaged!!!! We are so excited to have a new addition to our family!!! Matt asked Sam to marry him on Sunday (on his birthday!!) and she said yes!!!!!
Matt being such the romantic, he hiked up a trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon and found the perfect spot at Moss Ledge and carved into a tree the big question. He had picked out her ring a while ago and then when I was in Utah he got my stamp of approval (it is so pretty). Sam flew into Salt Lake on Saturday and Sunday morning they went for a ride up the canyon. Matt made her hike for a long ways and just when she thought she was going to pass out from the elevation Matt had her sit on a rock (the tree was right behind her). Matt told her to look at the scenery behind her and when she turned around he got down on one knee and when she read the carving and looked back at Matt..........he proposed!!! How romatic is that!! She is not sure she ever said yes or if when she passed out that Matt put the ring on her finger and then when she came to he told her she said yes! Either way they are engaged and we are all so excited!!!

Matt asked Sam or should I say "carved" Sam the big question!

News & Pictures

It's been awhile since I have been able to post anything on my blog and so much has happened. Me, Heather and the boys flew to Utah for a family visit and to give my sister Laurie a Surprise 5oth birthday party! We had so much fun and Laurie was really surprised!!!
It all started with me, Heather, my sisters Sue & Val and my Mom trying to get things ready for the surprise party. Laurie got her feelings hurt a few time because she thought we were doing something fun without her...........little did she know we were having fun making a scrapbook and planning, shopping and cooking for her! The day of her party I was supposed to pick her up at 1:00 for lunch and I was a litte late (because we were making sure everyone was there before I went to get her) anyway, when I went to pick her up she was standing by her front door with her purse in hand. She reminded me of my Grandma!! Then it was up to Delaney and I to get her to the church for the party. Delaney and I had practiced on how we were going to do this and the minute Laurie got in the car Delaney went into her acting mode! Although it sounded rehearsed (which it was) Laney told Laurie she left her sweater at the church and her mom would be mad if she didn't get it so if Laurie could let us in we could get her sweater. When we got to the church Laurie asked Delaney where the party was...........Laney couldn't remember (we didn't practice that part) so she said "UM..........I don't know" Laurie couldn't believe that Delaney could forget where the party was in the church since she had just came from there so I said lets go look in here. Well when we rounded the corner everyone started singing "Happy Birthday"! She was so surprised and then she started crying!!! It was so much fun and there were so many family and friends there to wish her happy birthday!
Laurie is so wonderful to so many people and especially to her family!! We were glad we got to surprise her and let her know just how much we love and appreciate her!!!
During the two weeks we were there I also got the chance to see Delaney and Dakota cheer and play basketball! Dakota is such an awesome basketball player!! His team won their region game and of coarse Dakota was the star player!!! When he finally grows into his size 10 shoes he will be even taller and will be making baskets without even jumping!!
Then there is my little Laney Bird. She spent the night with me a couple of times and I swear that Hurricane Katrina was not as bad as what it was sleeping with her!! I got kicked in the face, I got toes in my nose, her little bum was on me all night long and if I did try to move her she weighed as much as a refrigerator!!! Impossible???..........No just trying moving her yourself!!! It was fun and it was fun seeing the two little love birds (Corban and Delaney) in the mornings. Corban couldn't keep his lips off her! Anyway, I got to see Delaney perform during halftime and oh my gosh is she so good!! She is quite the little dancer and has moves that some professional dancers don't have!! All the other girls watch her and I can see why.......she is on beat, never misses a step and is so pretty to watch. Her stunts are awesome!!!
We had so much fun and I hate leaving but I was glad to get home.
I will post some more pictures later of my two little guys but Ihave misplaced my camera. I know I'm getting old and I can't remember but at least I'm not 50 like my sister Laurie!!!
Keep looking because there are more pictures of our trip!
Laurie turns 50!!!

Family Fun
